Dulowska Forest. Between Drought and Moisture

Field Observations
Ecological Context and Research Sources
Dulowska Forest encompasses wet woodlands and remnants of peatlands. My observations were informed by my interest in wetlands and the relationships between water, soil and vegetation that shape the functioning of these ecosystems.
In preparation for the fieldwork, I consulted the publication Nature Reserves in the Małopolskie Voivodeship: Past, Present and Future (Rezerwaty przyrody w województwie małopolskim – przeszłość, teraźniejszość, przyszłość), which provided information on the ecological and historical context of the area.
Towards an Artistic Work
I am interested in exploring a visual form that could capture the circulation of water and the complex relationships that constitute a wetland ecosystem. I am considering photography-based collage as a way of bringing together different scales of observation and presenting the landscape as a dynamic, interconnected system.
This remains a direction for further exploration, building on my earlier works from the Fluid Realities.
